Those lists don't seem completely up to date, but should still be pretty useful to you.

Harry Potter Style D&D Adventure in Eberron

Best Published Adventures for Eberron? I'm interested in running a 3 to 9 month game set in Eberron, and I was wondering if there were any good adventure modules either made for this world or that could be adapted to it. I bought every source book related to the line in 3e and 4e DnD, so I know a lot about the setting, but didn't make much effort to collect adventures to play in it. What would people recommend for that aforementioned 3 to 9 month game? We played through Eyes of the Lich Queen, an Eberron adventure for leveland enjoyed it quite a bit though the DM converted it to Pathfinder, our flavor of choice.

It took us 10 months of every-other-weekly sessions, so for a weekly game it looks to fit nicely in your requirements. What's the story about? I presume this is tied to the Blood of Vol Validated User.

D&D Campaign Settings — Eberron has Come to Adventurers League and 5E

I'm currently tinkering with the 4e Seekers of the Ashen Crown with the intent of running it at the end of spring. It's designed for levelsand it looks fine if a little railroady on the page although I don't know how it'll play out at the table. It doesn't seem to have received a lot of attention: no review here at RPGnet, a 5.

These are the modules that fired imaginations and helped Dungeon Masters learn exactly how a game should be put together — with a bit of work and a lot of imagination. Are they all perfect? Of course not. Tomb of Horrors is a meat grinder that has no real love for its players.

As we said before, this is a sadistic module that makes people hate playing the game just a little bit. This module is still a byword for meat grinder modules and everyone deserves to see what it means to play a module that absolutely hates them. Tomb of Horrors will make your players hate you a little, but it will also give you a great story to tell.

Play it, have fun with it, and put it away until you bring in the next unsuspecting player. Yes, trash was also talked about The Keep on the Borderlands. If you love old-school, absolutely classic Dungeons and Dragons, though, this is going to make your best-of list. There is a sense of imagination here that might not always make it off the page, but it definitely does permeate the entire encounter.

You can tell that this was something that was really new when it was put in paper, something that was special. Most people created their own worlds for adventures, and non-fleshed out modules could easily be popped into their homebrew worlds. Dark, gothic, and appropriately a little scary, Ravenloft was one of those modules that showed exactly how far you could push Dungeons and Dragons without breaking it.

A huge part of what makes Ravenloft so great is the atmosphere. The fact that your players can succumb to the temptations of the world and find themselves fallen is something that your players will have to deal with, and anyone who fails will be left with a fantastic story to tell later.

Everything about this module is classic. This is the start of the Dragonlance saga, a module that was actually released before the novels themselves. While the module is old, it still stands up to a surprising extent.It does not include the playtest adventures, which have their own listas those adventures had significantly different monster stats and rules.

However, AL comes in several flavors or sub-programs. The newest is called The Oracle of Warand it is amazing! AL allows us to play through the hardback adventures, such as Descent into Avernus or Tomb of Annihilation. The same characters can also or instead play a core season that ties into a hardback Season 9 adventures tie into Descent.

This year, the honor goes to a different type of program. Oracle of War is a campaign that uses the Eberron campaign setting. The program is a short and focused program, separate from other AL offerings. There will eventually be a total of 20 adventures for this campaign. At Winter Fantasy, the new Oracle of War campaign excited and pleased DMs, staff, and players more than any other campaign. Here are the reasons, in no particular order. As we talked about recently, adventure format really matters.

Oracle of War adventures use a format that is story-driven, focused on the specific scenario. This frees up writers to write what is most useful to the DM, using subheadings that fit the particular scenario.

Because the form follows the function, the format reflects and emphasizes the story. Elements appear where they are needed, meaning that as a scene develops the information is where you expect it to be. It makes running the adventure much easier. As we talked about in the previous blog post, using this format has no impact on how open the play is. The format is simply easier to use. Reading through and preparing Oracle of War adventures was much easier for me than preparing Season 8 or Season 9 adventures.

Oracle of War adventures come with a very nice summary of events, including handouts for players catching them up to speed.

As a player at the con, I played the first adventure, had to skip the second, and then played the third. The handout filled me in, allowing me to jump into the action along players who had played all the adventures. The adventures are a pleasure to read and just looking at the cover or layout builds excitement.

The Oracle of War campaign tells a great story. Second, because you were able to understand it and interact with it. Oracle of War resonates. Despite starting at level one, the characters find themselves interacting with important and wondrous aspects of the Eberron setting, quickly finding they are playing a key role in events that are critical to the setting.It takes place after a year war between what is now the five nations of Khorvaire.

The catalyst for the ending of the war is a apocalyptic event known as the Mourning. It wiped out Cyre, one of the warring nations, and no one knows what happened, leaving behind a haunted wasteland.
